Prime

Saskatchewan-based
Shuttle Craft Canada, Inc.. certainly qualifies as one of the country's
leading business success stories. Only three years old, the company
recently opened a new 40,000-square-foot facility in Floral, Saskatchewan.
Guests of honour at the event included Prime Minister Jean Chretien
and Saskatchewan Premier Roy Romanow.
The Prime Minister
congratulated company principals Wayne Washington, Dan Beaulac
and Trevor Hewison on their phenomenal success. "They illustrate
how our young people, through good ideas, planning and hard work
can create jobs and economic growth in our communities," he
said.
"Shuttle
Craft used their Team Canada involvement to further position their
product in the global market. Their new South Korean contacts prove
that Team Canada works."
Shuttle Craft
Canada Inc. builds a widely popular serni-V-hull boat that turns
a personal watercraft into a jet boat, capable of transporting
five passengers. The Shuttle Craft currently fits over 45 different
models and each year new custom rails are developed to fit new
PWC.
Beaulac, president
of Shuttle Craft Canada, and Wayne Washington, director of global
sales and marketing, won the 1996 Saskatchewan Young Entrepreneur
of the year Award from the Business Development Bank of Canada.
The company also won the 1996 Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce
Achievement in Business Excellence Award for Exports.
Shuttle Craft
currently has 270 dealers on board in the U.S. and Canada, and
40 distributors outside North America.
